Not Just Another Black Coffee




Coffee might not be for everyone, I know for me I chose to start drinking Mocha's from Tim Hortons during College so that I could get that little bit of caffeine kick to keep me stay awake during my morning classes! Then I slowly started to ween off the sugary chocolate powder and got used to the taste of Coffee with Milk.





But boy has coffee come a long way since 10 years ago! My appreciation for a good cup of coffee (I only drink one a day) has grown over the years. I've begun to love to experiment with natural ingredients to see what combinations taste best, and provide me with a clean source of energy (preferably no sugar spikes from syrups or artificial sweeteners!)


As my list continues to grow I did want to share what combinations I find myself gravitating towards daily.


Preferred Coffee Method - French Press


Amount of Freshly Ground Coffee - 3 Tbs per mug*

(I say mug because I'm not sure if it is exactly 1 cup of water, I would say maybe 1.25 cups)


Natural Flavoring - Botnaica's Turmeric Golden Mylk

Whole Food Ingredients: Turmeric, Coconut, Ashwagandha and Black Pepper


Creamer - Full Fat Coconut Milk

Refrigerate the can of coconut milk before opening. Once cooled blend the coconut milk in a blender to create a creamy froth. Store in a mason jar in the fridge and scoop out a spoonful of fluffy coconut cream daily into your coffee (you can thank me later)


Energy Booster - Bulletproof's Brain Octane MCT Oil

And there you have it, this combo is currently my go to daily!


Again I'm a one cup of coffee type of person, I don't think I could have this combination more then once a day. And if you're new to MCT Oil I suggest you start with a teaspoon and work your way up if needed, it honestly gives you quite the jolt of energy but you wouldn't want to over do it!
